Coffee Meets Bagel collaborates with SG Culture Pass to encourage intentional dating through arts & culture

Singapore, 11 February, 2026 — Coffee Meets Bagel (CMB), the dating app for intentional daters, has announced a year-long collaboration with SG Culture Pass (SGCP), encouraging singles to build deeper connections through shared arts and cultural experiences.

Anchored by the theme “Date with intention: Culture brings us closer,” the partnership reframes cultural activities — from workshops and performances to museums and heritage spaces — as meaningful, low-pressure date ideas that go beyond the usual dinner or café meet-ups.

By tapping into SG Culture Pass–supported activities, which can be redeemed using the government-supported $100 SG Culture Pass credits, the collaboration makes cultural, activity-based dates more accessible, intentional, and distinctly Singaporean.

“Cultural dates naturally slow things down. They create shared experiences, ease first-date anxiousness, and open the door to richer, more thoughtful conversations. This partnership invites daters to step offline and build deeper connections through shared cultural experiences, discovery, and values,” said Shn Juay, CEO, Coffee Meets Bagel Worldwide.

Why culture makes better dates

As dating expectations evolve, women increasingly value thoughtful, intentional date planning over grand gestures. Coffee Meets Bagel data shows that women are significantly more inclined towards cultural and social-emotional date experiences compared to men:

  • Approximately twice as many women indicated their preference for concerts & live performances as a date activity, compared to men (19% vs Men 9%).

  • 6% more women prefer dates at museums & galleries (18% vs Men 12%).

These settings offer safer, lower-pressure environments with built-in conversation starters — making them ideal for early dates and meaningful connection.

What daters can expect

As part of the year-long collaboration, CMB users can look forward to:

  • Date-ready cultural ideas featured across SG Culture Pass platforms

  • Specially curated cultural activities highlighted via the Coffee Meets Bagel app and newsletters

  • Priority access to CMB x SG Culture Pass promotions

Starting with this Valentine’s Day, there are 11 couple-friendly SG Culture Pass events available to the public on sgculturepass.gov.sg, with CMB users having priority access and promotions when they go on their dates with SG Culture Pass credits. These are curated activities by the SG Culture Pass Office, consisting of a mix of arts, culture and heritage events and workshops, immersive experiences and self-guided quests, and unconventional dates centred around horror and paranormal that are popular among the younger audience.

More SG Culture Pass-eligible events will be part of the collaboration in the coming months.

By integrating culture into the dating journey, the collaboration supports Singapore’s vibrant arts ecosystem while reinforcing Coffee Meets Bagel’s brand promise of intentional dating, where meaningful connections are shaped by shared values, experiences, and moments.
