We decided to meet at the rooftop bar for our first date, but many things didn’t go as planned.

First, it wasn’t supposed to rain, but it did. The rooftop was a little too dampy for a scenery straight out of a movie.

Second, I could see Derek trying to keep things cool despite his nervous sweat from the rain. My top was also biting me, and I knew both of us are keeping it in.

But the moment we finally took off our masks and took a sip, I remembered Derek’s smile taking away all the malfunctioning we faced, and everything turned into something we laughed about on a Sunday afternoon. 

It has made me realised, that those rain brought me someone special I know I couldn’t trade for anything.
