I think love comes with effort.

Being on CMB, I’ve tried going on a few dates before I met Hershania. It takes a lot of effort to be there for a person you’ve talked to only a few times.

But with her, it felt natural.

Hershania’s mom made an amusing reaction tip-toing to check who was picking her daughter up on our first date. It was funny and loving to me, to see a family that cares for one another deeply. I mentioned this to her and she laughed for quite a bit. Our conversation along the way just became naturally at ease, thanks to her mother.

Since our first date, it has been about opening up, being vulnerable, and being there for each other. Hershania and I shared our goals, dreams, and values that we both never shared to anyone.

And I’m happy to have that kind of person as my forever partner.
